In mid-September, the School of Agricultural Sciences hosted a social event to welcome new undergraduate and postgraduate students. Concurrently, the SAS Farmers’ Cell held an on-farm demonstration in Sirhi Angami village to provide training on scientific cultivation practices, such as seed bio-priming, to improve Rabi season productivity.

In October, the Department of Rural Development and Planning expanded its academic outreach through a Rural Talk Series. This session focused on ‘Community-led Natural Resource Management,’ examining the intersection of customary laws, traditional land ownership, and national forest policies in the Northeast region.
