The Nairobi County Senate race has become increasingly competitive with the entry of nominated Senator Crystal Asige. Asige, an advocate for disability rights, joins the field alongside Winnie Odinga and Lang’ata MP Phelix ‘Jalang’o’ Odiwuor.

Regarding the potential for political friction, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has downplayed concerns that Odinga’s candidacy might conflict with his own ambitions for the Nairobi governorship, stating that voters will ultimately decide the outcome.
