Nalua Studio announced ‘Gley Lancer: Overdrive’, a ground-up remake of the 1992 Mega Drive shoot-’em-up ‘Advanced Busterhawk Gley Lancer’. The project is being developed natively for Neo Geo AES and MVS arcade hardware, alongside modern platforms such as PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox.

The remake will feature redrawn pixel art for 11 stages, new music, and an ‘Overdrive’ mechanic that allows players to use a protective field as an offensive tool. Additional features include configurable ‘Gunner’ satellites, a speed boost, and various modes including Boss Rush and Bullet Hell. The game is scheduled for a 2027 release and is expected to be playable at the Tokyo Game Show 2026.
