Outgoing U.S. Representative Nancy Mace has launched a new YouTube commentary series titled ‘Get Maced’. During the debut of the show, Mace publicly revealed nine tattoos on her arms, which she had previously kept hidden by wearing long-sleeved clothing.

Mace stated that she received the tattoos between late 2023 and early 2024 during a period of personal and professional upheaval, including a breakup and the loss of congressional staffers. She described the decision to get the ink as a method to ‘reclaim’ her identity and body following experiences with PTSD and other hardships.

The media transition follows Mace’s fifth-place finish in the South Carolina gubernatorial primary in June. She is scheduled to complete her congressional term in January 2027 before moving into the private sector.
