# Narcotics seizures at Turkish customs gates

Customs enforcement teams from the Turkish Ministry of Trade conducted two separate narcotics operations at the Ipsala and Hamzabeyli customs gates in Edirne. 

At the Ipsala gate, officials used X-ray scanning and detection dogs to find 147.085 kilograms of skunk cannabis packed in vacuum-sealed bags inside a vehicle. At the Hamzabeyli gate, a truck was inspected via X-ray, leading to the discovery of 27.180 kilograms of cocaine. Investigations into these seizures have been launched by the Ipsala and Edirne Chief Public Prosecutor’s Offices.
