Chase Briscoe of Joe Gibbs Racing secured a dominant victory at the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, sweeping both stages and leading 175 of the 267 laps. The win provides Briscoe with redemption following a narrow loss at Kansas Speedway and moves him up to sixth in the NASCAR Cup Series championship standings.

The race concluded with high drama on the final lap. While Briscoe maintained his lead, championship leader Kyle Larson attempted a late charge that resulted in him hitting the wall and colliding with Tyler Reddick. Larson, who had recovered from an early lap-down following a lengthy pit stop, managed to recover to finish second, while Reddick secured third place.

Earlier in the weekend, Denny Hamlin claimed the pole position, leading a historic top-five qualifying sweep for Toyota. However, Hamlin faced a difficult race, finishing 16th after an early spin and subsequent handling issues, which increased Larson’s championship lead to 40 points over Hamlin. The event took place under extreme desert heat, with temperatures reaching the mid-90s.
