The Nashville Predators have engaged in several roster adjustments via the NHL waiver wire. In late September, the team claimed 23-year-old defenseman William Trudeau from the New York Rangers. This move occurred as General Manager Chris MacFarland worked to trim the roster to 23 players before the preseason deadline.

By late October, the team claimed defenseman Daemon Hunt from the Minnesota Wild to address injuries to Trudeau. To accommodate Hunt, the Predators placed defenseman Jack Ahcan on waivers.
