Colombia continues to host various regional and national sporting competitions. Following the speed skating events in late September, regional roller skating competitions have expanded in early October.

In Neiva, the first ‘Rodando por Mis Sueños’ cup was organized by the DSA Orgullo Opita club and endorsed by the Huila Skating League. This event at the Neiva Skating Rink involved more than 500 skaters from 28 clubs representing the departments of Huila and Caquetá, with a focus on novice and school categories.

Simultaneously, the ‘Copa Tres Pistas de Velocidad’ concluded in Norte de Santander. Approximately 280 participants from the local metropolitan area, the department, and guest athletes from Santander and Venezuela competed across several locations, including the Villa del Rosario skating rink, the Teódulo Gélvez Albarracín route track in Cúcuta, and the El Recreo track in Salazar de Las Palmas.

These activities follow the earlier focus on the 2026 Juegos Intercolegiados Nacionales regional phases, which included track and field in Boyacá and the selection of Manizales as a host for regional team sports like basketball and football.
