National Geographic Traveler has launched the ‘Cuda Polski 2026’ tourism plebiscite, an annual competition intended to promote unique cultural, natural, and historical sites across Poland. The initiative features 48 selected locations, with three nominees representing each of the country’s 16 voivodeships. Public voting is conducted online and remains open until October 13, 2026.

Among the nominees is the modernist downtown of Gdynia, which has been named a finalist for its significant interwar architecture. The city is also hosting a ‘UNESCO Weekend’ to coincide with its status as a UNESCO World Heritage site, featuring a new 3.5-kilometer UNESCO trail. This designation has reportedly led to an 83 percent increase in autumn hotel reservations compared to the previous year.
