The National Museum of History, located in Chapultepec Castle, is celebrating its 82nd anniversary through a program of cultural events titled ‘Galas por el 82 aniversario del MNH’.

The scheduled activities include concerts, lectures, and dance performances. Musical programming features Mexican music, opera, zarzuela, and folkloric presentations, alongside recitals dedicated to Mexican pianism. Educational components include discussions on feminist consciousness in Mexico and lectures regarding 19th-century musical commemorations and instruments.

Part of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), the museum is housed in a site that has served various roles, including a viceregal palace, military college, and imperial residence. These anniversary celebrations are being held within the framework of the 6th ‘Felipe Villanueva’ National Musical Festival.
