The Universidad Nacional de Pilar (UnPilar) recently marked its third anniversary. Established following a 2023 sanction by the National Congress and a community petition of over 70,000 signatures, the institution currently serves more than 6,000 students across 12 degree programs and three faculties.

Building on this foundation, the university is expanding its academic offerings by adding eleven new bachelor's degrees. These programs will be integrated into the faculties of Human Development, Production and Technology, and Health Sciences to complement existing technical programs. This expansion aims to support local development and provide higher education opportunities to residents of Pilar, Presidente Derqui, Del Viso, and Manuel Alberti, thereby reducing the necessity for students to travel to Buenos Aires.
