Naver is expanding its artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure through large-scale industrial partnerships and renewable energy initiatives.

In early September 2026, Naver and Brookfield Corporation announced plans to develop a 1GW-class global AI factory. The initial phase of this project involves a 200MW capacity build-out with an investment of up to $9 billion, combining Naver’s AI technology with Brookfield’s infrastructure and asset management expertise.

To support its growing infrastructure, Naver signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Girin Energy to secure renewable power. This includes a planned stake in the 216MW ‘Jindo Green Solar’ project in South Korea.
