The Nebraska Cornhuskers football team improved to a 5-0 record following a 48-23 victory over the Maryland Terrapins. Although Nebraska trailed 16-7 in a difficult first quarter and was outgained 207-38 during that period, the team recovered to outscore Maryland 41-7 in the remaining frames.

Quarterback Anthony Colandrea remains a central figure in the team’s success. After a volatile offseason involving multiple transfer portal moves, Colandrea secured the starting position. Despite early skepticism regarding his ability to transition to the Big Ten conference, his performance has helped drive the team’s undefeated start.
