The city of Necochea is marking its 145th anniversary with a series of cultural and civic festivities. Initial preparations included a photography exhibition by the Necochea Fotoclub titled ‘Infinitas Miradas’ to coincide with the anniversary month.

The main celebrations are scheduled for October 10 through 12, featuring a civic parade, traditional ceremonies, and the cutting of an anniversary cake. Musical performances and traditional dances are set to take place at the Plaza del Folclore y la Tradición, featuring various artists.

Additionally, the city is using the anniversary period to launch the 67th Festival Infantil, which is scheduled for the summer of 2027. The launch event includes workshops, circus shows, and the presentation of the festival’s new theme and costumes.
