The Municipality of Necochea and Quequén is experiencing uncertainty regarding its urban passenger transport service following two failed attempts to award a 20-year concession. In the initial bidding process, no companies purchased the required documents, which were priced at 3 million pesos.

With the current service extension scheduled to expire on October 2, local authorities are reviewing the tender conditions to ensure future viability. Following these failures, the company Vía Rosario submitted a letter of intent to the Deliberative Council to develop an “agile and modern urban transport” system. A second company operating in Azul has also expressed interest.
