Model Neschan Moulazim and her husband, Stelios Pologeorgis, held a sea baptism for their 11-month-old daughter in Agia Marina on September 20.

In subsequent accounts, Moulazim explained that the decision to perform the rite in a marine environment was inspired by historical traditions, such as the baptism of Christ in the Jordan River. She noted that the participating priests supported the unconventional setting and that the infant remained calm throughout the ceremony.

The couple also shared that the child’s names were chosen to honor their Greek and Turkish heritage. The name Neschan, meaning ‘unique’, is noted as being rare in Turkey.
