Netflix has confirmed that the second season of its British spy thriller, ‘Black Doves’, is scheduled for release on November 5, 2026.

Initially announced during a showcase at the Edinburgh TV Festival, the series follows Helen, a spy for a covert organization, as her espionage activities intersect with her husband’s preparations to become Prime Minister. The plot also involves a conspiracy targeting her handler, Mrs. Reed.

Following the initial announcement, Netflix released a trailer for the new season. The production features Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw, with an expanded cast including Ambika Mod, Neve Campbell, Sylvia Hoeks, and Sam Riley. The upcoming season continues to follow Helen Webb as she leaks secrets while her husband, Wallace, prepares for his role as the UK Prime Minister.

A recently released trailer provides further details on the six hour-long episodes. Returning leads Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw reprise their roles as Helen Webb and Sam Young. In addition to the central tension of Helen’s double life, new plot threads include a conspiracy targeting Mrs. Reed, played by Sarah Lancashire, and Sam’s struggle with a “diminished lifestyle in Soho.” The season is expected to maintain the series' blend of espionage, action, and dark humor.

In anticipation of the November 5 premiere, Netflix has released a new trailer showcasing Helen and Sam navigating new adversaries and internal conflicts within their secret organization.
