The summer film programme across Dutch towns continued to expand following the July premiere of *Pour Le Plaisir* in Zwolle. Organisers scouted Leiden for a September feature-film shoot, while the Zwols Architectuur Podium (ZAP) held a September 13 showing of the documentary *Vista Mare*.

Helmond’s De Cacaofabriek hosted an outdoor cinema series featuring a surprise film on 6 August, *Thelma & Louise* on 22 August, and *Kinky Boots* on 5 September, with each event preceded by live music. Utrecht’s Stadhuisplein hosted a free open-air screening of *Cabaret* on 14 August, and the Piershil village film club presented a low-cost art-house title on 4 September.

Water-based screenings also emerged as a feature of the season. In Zwolle, the Potigetersingel served as a floating cinema for the adventure comedy *The Lost City* on 23 August, concluding the Straatfestival 2026. In Dijk en Waard, the Drijf-In Bios event returned to the Kanaalpark on 12 September, though the municipality is currently seeking a new organizer to continue the program following the conclusion of the municipal arts programme.
