The New York Jets fell to 2-5 following a 28-25 upset loss to the winless Miami Dolphins at MetLife Stadium. This defeat follows a 26-19 loss to the New England Patriots, which had previously dropped the Jets to 2-4.

The loss to Miami intensified scrutiny of head coach Aaron Glenn, who is now 5-20 in his tenure and 0-8 against AFC East opponents. Glenn faced criticism for clock and timeout management after failing to use timeouts in the first half, allowing the Dolphins to score a touchdown with only six seconds remaining. Glenn later expressed regret, stating, “Maybe we should have called our timeouts to get it back.”

Offensive issues persisted as wide receiver Garrett Wilson remained significantly underutilized. In the Dolphins matchup, Wilson recorded only two catches for 26 yards on three targets. This lack of involvement led to visible frustration from Wilson toward quarterback Geno Smith on the sideline, echoing similar concerns from the previous week.
