The New York Jets have faced a difficult start to the season, characterized by injuries and declining performance. Early concerns centered on a depleted wide receiver corps due to injuries to players such as Omar Cooper Jr., Tim Patrick, and Arian Smith, which increased the pressure on Garrett Wilson.

Following a blowout loss to the Chicago Bears, the situation escalated into a decline in fan confidence. Polls indicated a 53-point swing in sentiment, with many supporters calling for the dismissal of head coach Aaron Glenn. The team’s offensive struggles have become a focal point, with the unit ranking among the league's worst in rushing and third-down conversion rates.
