The inaugural New York Yacht Club Women’s International Championship concluded in Newport, Rhode Island, featuring an international fleet of 20 teams competing in 37-foot IC37 keelboats.

Team Vigilant, led by skipper Megan Grapengeter-Rudnick, secured the victory. The team maintained a sufficient lead despite challenging conditions and decreasing winds on the final day. The competition included high-level participants such as Olympians and America’s Cup sailors.

Notable performances included the Australian team Shaw and Partners Women Racing, which finished fifth overall, marking the highest placement for a non-North American team. Following the success of the event, organizers have committed to making the championship a biennial occurrence starting in 2028.
