The New York Yankees are currently experiencing a championship drought that has lasted since their 2009 World Series victory against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Following a recent elimination from the American League Division Series after being swept by the Tampa Bay Rays, the franchise has extended its period without a title to 17 years. Despite a roster investment exceeding $300 million, the organization has faced criticism regarding the management of owner Hal Steinbrenner and the continued leadership of general manager Brian Cashman and manager Aaron Boone.
