The Arizona Cardinals and Detroit Lions are preparing for a Week 5 matchup at State Farm Stadium following inconsistent starts to their seasons.

The Cardinals enter the game with a 1-3 record, facing pressure to improve their standing in the NFC West. Roster challenges for Arizona include potential trade discussions involving wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and injuries to key offensive linemen. On the defensive side, safety Andrew Wingard is listed as out due to a knee injury.

The Lions, currently holding a 2-2 record, are looking to remain competitive in the NFC North. Head coach Dan Campbell has addressed recent defensive struggles, attributing them to “technical and mental errors” rather than a lack of talent, despite scrutiny directed at defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard. The Lions' injury report includes safety Brian Branch (Achilles), Ben Bartch (foot), and Rock Ya-Sin (hamstring).
