During a Week 2 NFL game in Nashville, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Tennessee Titans 24-20 under extreme playing conditions. Artificial turf at Nissan Stadium reached temperatures as high as 157 degrees Fahrenheit, causing physical distress for players and staff. Reports noted that the heat was intense enough to cause players to go through multiple pairs of cleats, and Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni required intravenous fluids to recover from heat exhaustion.

Despite the environmental challenges, the Eagles secured the win through a late touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts to Darius Cooper. The victory moves the Eagles to a 2-0 record, though the team faces roster concerns following a stinger injury to running back Saquon Barkley. Standout individual performances included DeVonta Smith, who recorded 10 catches for 117 yards and a touchdown.
