During the promotion of his upcoming autobiography, “Hello Boys and Girls!”, Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain has shared various personal reflections and political criticisms.

McBrain revealed that he declined an invitation to play golf with U.S. President Donald Trump, an offer reportedly extended through a Republican acquaintance. Expressing strong disapproval of the administration, McBrain cited concerns regarding the president’s personality, foreign policy conflicts involving Iran, and the controversy surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein files. He further stated that Trump and his associates “should be put in jail.”

In addition to political commentary, McBrain offered reflections on the music industry, specifically regarding Axl Rose. While noting that Rose’s voice “has not aged very well,” McBrain praised Rose’s 2016 performance filling in for AC/DC’s Brian Johnson, remarking that Rose “did a great job.”
