Negotiations between Rangers and Besiktas for midfielder Nicolas Raskin have collapsed after the Turkish club proposed a loan deal with an option to buy. Rangers' ownership reportedly rejected this structure to avoid losing the player without sufficient financial security. 

While Raskin had previously expressed a desire to leave Ibrox, Rangers maintained a valuation in the £15m to £20m range. Hull City also reportedly made an attempt to sign the Belgian international but withdrew after the club refused to lower its asking price.

Following the breakdown of these talks, Rangers manager Derek McInnes stated he has reached an understanding with the 25-year-old player to refocus on his role at the club. Although Raskin is expected to remain at Rangers for the immediate future, the club may consider new offers during the January transfer window.
