The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has initiated a series of engagements with various security agencies to enhance inter-agency collaboration and intelligence sharing.

Initially, the NCS conducted familiarization visits in the Sokoto/Zamfara and Cross River/Calabar/Akwa Ibom commands. These meetings involved the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigerian Correctional Service, and the Department of State Services (DSS) to coordinate responses to security threats and combat smuggling.

Efforts subsequently intensified in Lagos and the Cross River/Calabar/Akwa Ibom regions. In Lagos, the Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone A met with the Lagos State Police Command to emphasize intelligence sharing ahead of potential election-related crime increases. In the Cross River/Calabar/Akwa Ibom area, discussions expanded to include the Nigerian Army, the Eastern Naval Command, and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), focusing on securing land borders, maritime routes, and coastal communities to protect national revenue.
