President Bola Tinubu appointed Dr. Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoCSF) following the retirement of Didi Esther Walson-Jack, who reached the mandatory retirement age of 60.

Enitan, previously the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Education, was endorsed by the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria as a “tested career officer.”

On August 27, 2026, Enitan was formally sworn in at the State House in Abuja.
