The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Nigeria has initiated several administrative and training updates for the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I service year.

In early September, the NYSC scheduled a physical verification exercise for foreign-trained Nigerian graduates. This process, set to occur between September 8 and September 12 across nine designated centers, requires candidates to present original credentials, travel documents, and professional licenses where applicable. The agency noted that only those who are physically verified will be cleared for deployment or exemption.

Following this, the Ministry for Youth Development inaugurated a new e-training portal for NYSC staff to improve workforce efficiency through technological integration. Concurrently, the NYSC announced that the orientation course for the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream One would begin on September 30, 2026, with registration and swearing-in ceremonies scheduled for early October.
