The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has implemented several administrative measures regarding personnel in Nigeria.

In a recruitment drive, the board mandated drug testing for the first batch of 30,000 recruits across the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Nigerian Correctional Service, and the Federal Fire Service. This directive, stated by Board Secretary Maj. Gen. Abdulmalik Jibrin (retd.), requires candidates to undergo screening at National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) offices to ensure prospective public servants are free from illegal drug use.

Simultaneously, the Federal Government approved the promotion of 27,624 existing officers within these four services to address career stagnation and improve morale. The promotions include 17,343 officers from the NSCDC, 4,601 from the Nigerian Correctional Service, 4,097 from the Nigerian Immigration Service, and 1,583 from the Federal Fire Service. The board also approved a new healthcare policy framework to support personnel wellness.
