The fourth edition of ‘Night of the Museums in Villages’ is scheduled for August 29, 2026. Initiated by the National Museum Network of Romania, the event offers free nocturnal access to various rural cultural sites. In Buzău County, the Buzău County Museum will host free guided tours at the Vasile Voiculescu Memorial House in Pârscov, commemorating the poet, physician, and writer. In Dâmbovița County, the Dumitru Ulieru Ethnographic Museum in Pietroșița and the Gabriel Popescu artist house-atelier in Vulcana-Pandele will be open to the public between 18:00 and 22:00.

Regional programming includes several key areas: In Timiș County, six museums will participate, including the Nikolaus Lenau Memorial House and the Neolithic Sanctuary at Parța. In Cluj County, four sites are included, such as the 1723 wooden church in Someșu Rece. In Maramureș, nine sites will participate, featuring wooden churches and ethnographic film screenings. In Arad County, seven facilities will offer free admission, including the Wine Museum in Ghioroc. Additional highlights include the ‘Wool Road’ exhibition in Mândra and the ‘Tescani 50’ retrospective in Bucharest.
