Niigata University of Health and Welfare is hosting various sports-related community events in late 2026. 

An initial event, the ‘Niigata University of Health and Welfare Sports Festa’ scheduled for October 11, 2026, focuses on toddlers, elementary school students, and their guardians. This initiative, commissioned by the Japan Sports Agency and UNIVAS, aims to promote regional revitalization and address declining physical activity through sessions led by university students in sports such as soccer, volleyball, and track and field.

Following this, the university will host an amputee football experience event on November 1, 2026. Organized as part of a regional para sports promotion project commissioned by the Japan Para Sports Association, the event is open to all individuals and features guidance from the Japan Amputee Football Association.
