In Niterói, local leadership has focused on community development and industrial revitalization. Mayor Rodrigo Neves met with Petrobras executives to discuss expanding the city’s role in oil, gas, and ship repair supply chains. To facilitate this, the city invested approximately R$ 162.5 million in dredging the São Lourenço Channel, increasing its depth from seven to 11 meters to accommodate larger vessels.
