The ARD documentary series ‘No Angels – Das sind wir!’ examines the 25-year history of the German girl group No Angels, tracing their trajectory from winning the casting show ‘Popstars’ in 2001 through various hiatuses and comebacks.

Through archive footage and interviews with members Lucy Diakovska, Sandy Mölling, Nadja Benaissa, and Jessica Wahls, the series explores the pressures of early stardom, strict contracts, and personal crises. Specific accounts include Nadja Benaissa’s experiences with addiction, homelessness, and the trauma of balancing motherhood with fame at age 18, as well as being stalked by an industry acquaintance. The documentary also addresses internal group dynamics, such as the handling of Jessica Wahls’ pregnancy and Benaissa’s legal challenges in 2010.
