Actor Noah Wyle has been named People magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ for 2026. The 55-year-old, recognized for his roles in ‘ER’ and the HBO Max medical drama ‘The Pitt’, expressed initial disbelief regarding the announcement, noting he “initially thought it was a prank.”

Wyle’s recent career resurgence includes winning consecutive Emmy Awards for Best Actor in a Drama Series in 2025 and 2026, as well as a Golden Globe. While Wyle credited his wife, Sara Wells, for helping him accept the distinction, he also shared that his children had varying pragmatic or surprised reactions to the news.

The announcement has sparked social media debate. While many fans praised his talent and character, some critics questioned the selection. People magazine editor-in-chief Charlotte Triggs defended the choice, stating the title reflects ‘professionalism and charm’ in addition to physical appearance.
