The Nigerian film industry has seen recent public conflicts involving prominent actresses. Filmmaker Eniola Ajao has alleged that her YouTube channel is being targeted by coordinated sabotage and shadow-banning, claiming these actions have limited her content visibility and caused financial hardship.

Separately, a dispute between actresses Eniola Badmus and Laide Bakare escalated following a podcast appearance. After Badmus issued a public apology for a perceived dismissive reaction toward Bakare, Bakare rejected the gesture, calling it a ‘fake apology’ and accusing Badmus of being an ‘ingrate’ regarding past financial support.
