Arsenal winger Noni Madueke is facing a potential departure ahead of the January transfer window due to limited playing time under manager Mikel Arteta. Now 24, Madueke joined Arsenal from Chelsea in the summer of 2025 but has struggled to secure a regular starting position, particularly following squad reinforcements such as the arrival of Christos Tzolis.

While statistical metrics like expected goals (xG) and progressive carries suggest high offensive potential, Madueke has faced scrutiny regarding his consistency. His lack of minutes has also reportedly impacted his standing with the England national team, resulting in his exclusion from recent Nations League squads.

As of October 2026, interest in the winger has intensified from Atletico Madrid and Juventus. While a permanent sale is considered unlikely given his contract extends until June 2030, a loan move is viewed as a likely option to ensure regular first-team football.

However, Madueke’s situation has recently shifted following a hamstring injury to Christos Tzolis. This has allowed the winger to feature more prominently, including a Champions League appearance against Lille where he provided an assist for Jurrien Timber. Following these increased opportunities, Mikel Arteta expressed confidence that Madueke is poised to play closer to his ‘highest level’ and indicated the player would receive more minutes in upcoming fixtures, such as the match against Nottingham Forest.
