In North Macedonia, the Ministry of Health announced that a family’s decision to donate organs resulted in the successful transplantation and saved lives of two patients. 

Health Minister Sašo Klekovski described the act as a “gesture of deep humanity,” while National Transplantation Coordinator Prof. Dr. Biljana Kuzmanovska noted that family decisions make the “miracle of new life possible.” The announcement was made in anticipation of World Organ Donation Day on August 13, as part of a global awareness initiative.
