The Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) has initiated infrastructure development for a carbon capture and storage (CCS) project in the North Sea. Following these preparatory steps, the installation campaign progressed with the arrival of Saipem’s vessel, Castorone, to lay a 136km pipeline. To mitigate environmental impact, the installation process utilizes marine biofuel and environmental monitoring technology to ensure seabed safety and long-term storage integrity.
