However, Minister of Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu recently announced that the government has accepted most demands to ensure sector sustainability, including a 40 percent increase in transportation fees.

The Minister noted that while a protocol for escorts has been prepared—offering payment equivalent to the gross minimum wage for five eight-hour days—a request for a 5 percent interest rate on delayed payments was rejected as inconsistent with state practices. Although the Ministry stated it is ready to sign the protocol, transportation representatives have not yet responded. Consequently, services are not expected to resume immediately, with a tentative restart set for Tuesday.
