# Norway Progress Party becomes largest party in polls

The Progress Party (Frp) has become Norway’s largest political party according to a September poll conducted by Opinion for Dagsavisen and FriFagbevegelse. The party reached 32.5 percent support, marking an increase of 3.4 percentage points from the previous month.

This result places the Progress Party 18.2 percentage points ahead of the Conservative Party (Høyre), which sits at 14.3 percent. This gap represents the largest difference between the two parties since Opinion began political polling in 2007. Election researcher Johannes Bergh noted that the Progress Party has overtaken the Conservatives in the role of a “credible governing party.”

The Labour Party (Arbeiderpartiet) remains the second-largest party with 20.6 percent support. Other party standings include Rødt at 7.9 percent, SV at 5.0 percent, Sp at 4.5 percent, KrF at 4.2 percent, MDG at 3.7 percent, and Venstre at 3.4 percent.
