Berlin-based startup Nox Mobility has expanded its vision, announcing plans to establish a European night train network connecting 100 cities by 2035. The project aims to provide a competitive alternative to short- and medium-haul flights, with future intentions to include Italian destinations such as Rome.

The inaugural service is scheduled to launch on March 23, 2027, running between Hamburg and Munich with intermediate stops in Bremen and Augsburg. This initial line will operate three times per week in both directions. 

Following the presentation of its first completed carriage at the InnoTrans trade fair, the company has opened ticket sales, with one-way fares starting at 65 euros. The service will utilize ‘Nox Suites,’ which are designed to function as workspaces during the day and lounge-style sleeping areas at night, equipped with large seats, tables, power outlets, and luggage space. This follows the company’s earlier plans to introduce more advanced, fully enclosed ‘Nox Rooms’ by 2029.
