The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) is experiencing departures of prominent figures. Bård Tufte Johansen announced he will step down as host of the comedy program ‘Nytt på nytt’ following the conclusion of the autumn season, ending a tenure of nearly ten years.

Journalist Tove Bjørgaas is also leaving the broadcaster after 30 years to pursue freelance work. A former US correspondent, Bjørgaas stated that maintaining strict neutrality has become increasingly difficult during historical shifts. Her departure occurs amid NRK restructuring efforts, which aim to reduce staff by 300 to 400 positions by 2030.
