The New South Wales Police Force has initiated a significant deployment of new recruits across various regions to enhance community visibility and response capabilities. This expansion includes the deployment of probationary constables to areas such as Kempsey, Port Macquarie, Lismore, the Blue Mountains, and Griffith.

A record-breaking cohort of more than 353 probationary constables graduated from the NSW Police Academy on August 21, representing the largest graduating class in 14 years. To sustain this growth, the NSW Minister for Police and Counter-terrorism, Yasmin Catley, announced that the frequency of recruitment classes will increase from three to four per year.
