In late September 2026, Nuit Blanche art festivals were scheduled to take place in Ottawa and Winnipeg. In Ottawa, the event was planned for the ByWard Market District to coincide with the city’s bicentennial, Ottawa 200. Winnipeg’s festival was set to transform its downtown core into an outdoor gallery featuring 3D projections and live music.

Following the scheduled dates, Ottawa celebrated its 200th anniversary through large-scale cultural events, including Nuit Blanche and the 21st edition of the Pique music and arts festival. These festivities featured interactive light installations, aerial acrobatics, and multidisciplinary performances at various venues such as the Ottawa Art Gallery and Arts Court. The Pique festival offered free admission through partnerships with the Ottawa 200 celebrations.
