The Municipality of Odemira has implemented various community and educational initiatives for local youth. In early September 2026, the Mexe-te Ojovem 26 program concluded with a four-day event in Ovar, following a summer period where 94 volunteers participated in municipal projects to promote civic spirit and volunteerism.

Subsequently, the municipality expanded its educational support through the reactivation of the ‘Roteiro OdeTE’ project. This initiative includes subprograms focused on environmental awareness, local culture, and safety through collaborations with civil protection and police services.

Further investments have been directed toward school infrastructure and services, including over €1.22 million for healthy school meals sourced from local suppliers, funding for the ‘Full-Time School’ program, and approximately €265,000 for Curricular Enrichment Activities covering sports, arts, and sciences.
