# OFC U-19 Men’s Championship Progresses to Semi-finals

The OFC U-19 Men’s Championship in Apia, Samoa, has progressed to the semi-final stage. 

In Group A, the Solomon Islands secured their semi-final berth following a 3-1 victory over New Caledonia. Captain Jayroll Patty scored a hat-trick, with goals in the 36th, 45+3', and 74th minutes. The match was impacted by an early red card for New Caledonia’s Kyllian Wiako, though Jemmanuel Siwoine managed to equalize for New Caledonia with a header in the 43rd minute. This result allowed the Solomon Islands to finish at the top of Group A, three points ahead of Papua New Guinea and New Caledonia.

In Group B, Tahiti advanced to the semi-finals after defeating Fiji. Elias Jamet scored the winning goal in the first half following an assist from Keahinui Brown. New Zealand also secured a place in the semi-finals with a victory later in the day. 

Additionally, in the OFC U-16 Women’s Championship held in Honiara, New Zealand advanced to the semi-finals after a 1-0 win against Fiji, decided by a 94th-minute long-range goal from substitute Bonnie Rice. Elsewhere in that tournament, the Solomon Islands and the Cook Islands played to a 0-0 draw.
