The Ole Miss men’s basketball program is undergoing a rebuilding phase under head coach Chris Beard. Following a 15-20 season that resulted in missing the NCAA Tournament, the team is focusing on roster depth and recruiting.

Initial roster developments included the addition of several newcomers and returning players such as Zach Day, Ilias Kamardine, and Patton Pinkins. However, the eligibility of Micah Handlogten and Corey Stephenson became a point of uncertainty due to SEC rules regarding former professional players following their participation in the NBA Summer League.

As the program continues its rebuilding efforts, Beard has integrated further transfers, including Budd Clark and Roman Siulepa. Additionally, the program has turned its attention to future recruiting, notably scheduling an official visit for 2028 five-star guard Tai Bell.
