Nigerian tennis player Oluwaseun Ogunsakin has progressed through the early stages of the 2026 US Open Junior Championships.

After qualifying for the main draw by defeating Tymon Litwic and Canada’s top seed Felix Roussel, Ogunsakin secured his first Grand Slam junior main-draw victory. He defeated the 15th seed, Kuan-Shou Chen of Chinese Taipei, in a three-set match with a score of 5-7, 6-3, 7-5. Following this win, he was scheduled to face South Africa’s Connor Doig in the second round while also competing in the doubles event.
