Olympiacos secured a 93-91 away victory against Zalgiris Kaunas in their second EuroLeague match, maintaining a perfect 2-0 record for the season. The game was highly competitive, with the teams tied at 44-44 at halftime. Evan Fournier led the scoring with 19 points, including critical three-pointers in the final seconds to seal the win, earning him the match MVP. Other key contributors included Sasha Vezenkov with 18 points and Montez Morant with 15 points.

Zalgiris Kaunas put up a strong fight led by Sterling Brown with 20 points and Ažuolas Tubelis with 19. Following the match, Evan Fournier noted that while the team is playing at a higher tempo, there is a need to improve defensive consistency and rebounding, specifically citing the physical challenge posed by Zalgiris's Jonas Valančiūnas.

Olympiacos coach Georgios Bartzokas attributed the victory to luck, noting that the team struggled with three-point shooting and required more patience. He praised the quality of the Zalgiris roster, specifically highlighting Jonas Valančiūnas and Ažuolas Tubelis, and noted the win was crucial given their demanding travel schedule. This performance marked the first time since the 2006-07 season that Olympiacos has scored over 90 points in each of their first two EuroLeague games.

Conversely, Zalgiris coach Tomas Masiulis expressed disappointment, stating that a lack of concentration in the second half and a failure to commit timely fouls cost them the game. Olympiacos now prepares for an away game against Virtus Bologna.
